PBD Art For Water Auction

tl.png

Even today, for numerous Indigenous communities across Canada, tap water is not safe to drink.

Many communities have identified the need for certified personnel to operate and maintain their drinking water treatment systems. Water First is Canada’s leading charitable organization dedicated to working together with Indigenous communities to build capacity locally – collaborating to resolve both drinking water and environmental water concerns. Since 2009, Water First has partnered with 50 Indigenous communities in Canada on a variety of water education and training projects.

Water First’s Drinking Water Internship is a 15-month paid internship, partnering with and training young Indigenous adults for a career in water science.

Join Project Blue Drop in supporting Water First’s efforts to address drinking water challenges in Indigenous communities by donation or purchase of PBD’s personalized art auction items! These art pieces are created by individuals who wish to convey a social message through a visual medium. This PBD initiative will provide you with a beautiful painting and the ability to fund/support a very important program that will allow communities to access safe, clean water.

Upcoming & Ongoing

PBD Shoreline Clean-Up

tl.png

There are over 5 trillion pieces of plastic in our oceans. Oceans are a precious source of oxygen and integral to the marine ecosystem. Project Blue Drop's 2020 shoreline clean-up was a big success! We were joined by youth who were concerned about our oceans and human impact on them.

PBD's Shoreline Clean-up is an annual volunteering event, keep your eyes out for our upcoming dates in Lower Mainland, Central Vancouver and Calgary.

For more information on how you can participate email us at projectbluedrop.outreach@gmail.com with your interest and we will add you to our volunteer contact list to keep you updated!

Past Initiatives

PBD Community Wellness Kits

tl.png

We are super excited to introduce our PBD community wellness initiative! During this ongoing pandemic, many are experiencing a lack of hygiene essentials, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap and sanitation products.

At Project Blue Drop, we recognize this need and have taken action to prepare wellness kits. These kits are going to be donated to local Vancouver and Calgary organizations, such as The Mustard Seed and The Vancouver Women's Health Collective, to name a few!

We have put together more than 100 wellness kits this winter! Project Blue Drop could not have done this without you! We want to thank you for raising almost $1000 dollars to make this difference!

People in your community have felt the love you shared through our initiative this holiday season!
